I've written a book

For the first time since I was in school, I have written a book. Not about aliens or monsters but something far more serious that befits my career. I have mainly worked in the private sector in many database and application development roles, I have been self employed as a contractor as well as company director providing IT services. This time I am in the public sector working as a researcher and consultant and I am fortunate enough for my research to be published for the benefit of local businesses.
The book is designed to assist business owners or start-ups who are either online or going online to make their website work effectively. It's an all in one search engine optimisation and website marketing guide. Best of all, it's free for local businesses of Hastings and Bexhill, the towns we serve.
I have spent a huge amount of time researching the information and hope that I have aimed it effectively at the right market but initial feedback has been very positive so I am extremely excited about the launch.
Regarding the launch, it was due to be exhibited at the "Let's Do Business" event at the Boundaries in Hastings but, you guessed it, it hasn't been completed yet. The printers had it finally edited and proofed ten days ago with a guaranteed fast turnaround time and it was due for delivery today.
Well, although I can't enjoy my little moments during the launch at the "Let's Do Business" event, I'm confident that the book will serve well and give me the opportunity to steer my career into a knowledge based service, of which, I'll be publishing research with the aim of helping small businesses punch above their weight in the big bad world of the internet.
