The reason why
I am currently an eCommerce Consultant and my job is to assist the many businesses, including hotels, guest houses, B&B's and other various sorts of accommodation, succeed in the search engines. Their job is to squeeze the small businesses that rely on the internet out of every penny they can realistically get. These national databases are essentially marketing machines that push the individual websites of the hotel owners completely off the search engine map.
