Dreamweaver -Fireworks- XHTML Validity.
Hi,
This is a gripe and groan really- I checked my source code with the w3c XHTML validator page. Apart from the usual flash problem, there was a problem with the library fireworks buttons which automatically inserts an id.
e.g. <img src="Menu/spacer.gif" alt="" name="undefined_3" width="82" height="1" border="0" id="undefined_3" />
The problem lies in that the id "undefined_" is duplicated within each instance of the button and of course that is invalid.
-You have to rename each id- you can't delete it -if you do and use the clean up XHTML form the Command menu it comes straight back.
I will remember this next time I am in fireworks.

Re: Dreamweaver -Fireworks- XHTML Validity.
It's no secret that validation requires unique ID's on a web page and it amazes me that Adobe, nee Macromedia produce products that fly in the face of the standards.
Let's hope the Dreamweaver Task Force can make a difference to the suite of tools in the future.
